Meet the Doctor

Dr. Alan Wedell D.C.

Alan’s journey to the chiropractic field began in his early years. He hails from Connecticut and pursued his undergraduate education at Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. Following his academic pursuits, he embarked on a diverse path that included teaching English in Wuxi, China, and taking on various jobs before eventually finding his way to Davenport, Iowa. It was in Davenport that Alan enrolled at Palmer College of Chiropractic, graduating in 2018.

What ignited Alan’s passion for chiropractic care was a personal experience—an excruciating sports injury that left him in unbearable pain. After conventional treatments yielded no relief, he turned to chiropractic care and experienced a full recovery without the need for surgery or medication. This transformative experience led him to recognize the profound impact of chiropractic care on one’s health.

Alan’s decision to pursue a career in chiropractic was grounded in his desire to help people heal naturally, in alignment with his principles and beliefs. He was drawn to the simplicity and yet the advanced nature of chiropractic as a healing art. Alan believes in the body’s innate power to heal itself and is dedicated to facilitating this process through chiropractic adjustments.

In January 2023, Alan established his practice in Hardeeville, South Carolina, driven by a keen assessment of the community’s need for chiropractic services and a desire to be closer to family. He takes pride in providing much-needed care to the residents of Hardeeville and is committed to educating them about the benefits of chiropractic care.

For Alan, the satisfaction of his profession lies in its simplicity and effectiveness. Chiropractic care, as he sees it, is a natural and cost-effective way to address health issues. He revels in the opportunity to educate his patients about their health, their bodies, and how chiropractic care can be an excellent primary approach to achieving their health goals.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Alan is deeply dedicated to the practice of Wing Chun Kung Fu. He is passionate about teaching and preserving the traditions and teachings of this martial art, ensuring that they are passed down to future generations. In both his personal and professional life, Alan Wedell is committed to empowerment, healing, and the well-being of others.
